The period is appropriate. The rains in March contribute to the planting of new seedlings that are being destined for a forest restoration project carried out by Copaíba.

For years, the institution, concerned with the conservation of the Atlantic Forest in the basins of the Rios do Peixe and Camanducaia, has carried out forest restoration actions that favor and benefit the whole of society.

Through the project “Forest Restoration of springs and tributary streams of the Rio do Peixe” – MOGI 476 (Fehidro Contract 186/2015), three more springs will have their surroundings recovered and covered by native vegetation. This will guarantee the supply of these springs, maintaining the quality and quantity of water on the property.

In addition to the direct benefit to the owner, the whole society benefits from it. The waters that come from these springs supply important tributary streams of the Rio do Peixe. With this project, more than 200 springs from the Peixe and Camanducaia river basins are being recovered with the support of Copaíba.
