Copaíba is one of the 100 Best NGOs in Brazil in 2023

List has just been released in premiomelhores.org. Highlights of the special and best of the year categories will be announced in December

The Best NGOs Award, an initiative by Instituto Doar in partnership with O Mundo Que Quero and with the support of Ambev, announced the list of the 100 best organizations in Brazil in 2023, last Friday, October 27th. The award's mission is to recognize and publicize NGOs that stand out annually for their excellence in management, governance, financial sustainability and transparency.

Since 2013, Instituto Doar has worked to expand the culture of donation in Brazil, promoting awareness in both individuals and institutions through initiatives such as Donate Day, the Doar Seal (certification for NGOs) and the Best NGOs Award.

Copaíba wins the award as one of the 100 best NGOs for the second time. In 2019, in addition to being one of the 100 best, it also received the award for Best NGO in Brazil in the special Environment category.

“It is a very important moment for us at Copaíba. We are celebrating this achievement again, knowing that all the daily work and dedication of 24 years of the Organization are on the right path towards socio-environmental awareness”, comments Erika Xavier, responsible for Communication at Copaíba, and goes on to say: “We know how much Transparency of our actions impacts the safety of the public who will support our projects, donate to plant seedlings, dedicate their time as a volunteer and share the work done seriously with the world. The Best NGOs award is the best representation and confirmation of our responsibility and the trust we want to convey to our supporters.”

“When we created Melhores, our objective was to encourage the culture of donation in Brazil. Over the years, it became something bigger than that. Today, we are certain that being on the list of the best can change the history of an organization”, says Cássia Christe, director of IOMQQ. “Best NGOs recognizes organizations committed to doing good in all ways, for all audiences, in all causes. When you hear the word 'NGO', you already understand that there is a group of people there who created a non-profit association for the common good. This is the beauty of society working to solve problems”, adds Alexandre Mansur, project director at IOMQQ.

The official award ceremony is scheduled to take place in São Paulo, on December 7th, at the Sérgio Cardoso theater. The event will be broadcast live on YouTube on Canal Futura. In addition to the 100 best, during the ceremony awards will be given to the best NGOs by state, cause, the ten best small ones, the best among them and the Best NGO of the year.
