Águas de Lindóia City Hall receives the proposal to support the elaboration of the PMMA by Copaíba
Águas de Lindóia City Hall receives the Copaíba Environmentalist Association for a proposal to support the entity for the elaboration of the Municipal Plan for the Conservation and Restoration of the Atlantic Forest (PMMA) with the application of the Climatic Lens and launches a Public Consultation on Environmental Perception for the participation of its population .
On February 24, at a meeting of the Municipal Environment Council, the Environmentalist Association Copaíba, which works in the region with public policies, environmental education, production of native seedlings, ecological restoration and mobilization of society for the environmental restoration of the Atlantic Forest, presented the proposal of support for the elaboration of the PMMA of the municipality, with a view to opportunities for strategic actions, from the point of view of the application of the climate lens that seeks to highlight aspects related to climate change and bring measures to adapt the territory and more vulnerable populations, to the impacts of a new reality of extreme climatic phenomena that are increasingly frequent around the world.
On the occasion Mariana Gianiaki, from the Association's public policy team, presented the technical and methodological subsidies that will guide the entire process, including the public consultation on environmental perception, built with the support of the SOS Mata Atlântica Foundation and Social Knowledge Institute in 2015.

With the massive presence of the Councilors and Mário Mantovani, Institutional Director of the National Association of Municipalities and the Environment (ANAMMA Brasil), the proposal was presented, well received and supported by those present.
The forecast is that the municipality can make the partnership official during the Water Day activities next month.
