People and companies in the region support the restoration of the Atlantic Forest
Copaíba supports landowners for the recovery of native forests. This support takes place through institutional programs and projects that contribute to improving the quality of life of many people.
An example of this is the more than 200 springs that are being recovered through Copaíba's actions. Of these springs, many that were dry, now have the water back. Many families benefit from this initiative, as the recovery of these areas is linked to the conservation of the soil, animals, plants, and also the agricultural and livestock productivity of the areas.
Part of this support for landowners is only possible thanks to financial contributions to Copaíba, which come from society and companies in the region that believe in the environmental cause. For every R$10.00 donated to the institution, a seedling is planted back into nature. In 2015 alone, these contributions will support the planting of 11,000 new trees. This is equivalent to the recovery of 55 thousand m2 of native forests.
The companies that contribute annually to this action are: Bioleve, Ecobier, Escola Viverde, Condomínio Sítio dos Ipês, Hotel Fazenda Campo dos Sonhos, Fazenda Cabanha Interlagos, Giomo Corretora de Seguros, Irmãos Preto, JMX do Brasil, Inove Informática, Hotel Fazenda Portal do Sol, Pousada Recanto dos Manacás, Padaria e Supermercado Sartori, Lógika Informática, Arlemcar, Sorvetreze, Jornal O Município, Imobiliária Campos Salles, Creações Beth Bebê, Language Workshop, Mundo Novo Soluções Agroambientais, GFisco Contabilidade, Wilson Gás e Água, Grupo Braga's Segurança, Nata da Serra, Lindoya Original, Edna Massas, Papelaria Costa, Comercil Fruchi, Estância Lavanderia, Du Well Confecções, Mogiana Comércio de Máquinas e Motors, Socopisos, Você Vencedor Soluções Empresariais and Fazenda Boa Vista.
For Copaíba, this support that comes from society is fundamental. “These contributions demonstrate that part of society, concerned with the critical environmental situation we are experiencing, can somehow collaborate to recover and conserve the Atlantic Forest in our region. Everyone can do that”, comments Flávia Balderi, Executive Secretary.
