On the night of December 7th, a landmark celebration took place that rewarded NGOs that dedicated their energy and efforts to making the world a better place in the year 2023. The Best NGOs Awards Ceremony brought together a diverse audience, eager to recognize the work example of several entities, including that of the Copaíba Environmental Association.

Copaíba is known for its commitment and mission to environmental preservation and restoration and the promotion of sustainability on several fronts. Its work, which has lasted for more than two decades, ranges from public awareness to the implementation of ecological restoration projects with partner owners in the 19 municipalities where it operates.

“Being among the 100 best NGOs in Brazil is an extremely important recognition for us. The process of continuous improvement and institutional strengthening has led Copaíba to achieve new challenges and achievements as well. It is an immense pride to see our team grow, engage and be motivated by something that is greater here: our purpose.” – comments Flávia Balderi, executive secretary and coordinator of the Copaíba forest nursery.

The Award is carried out by Instituto Doar in partnership with O Mundo Que Quero, annually and free of charge for all non-profit associations and foundations of any size and geographic location. It aims to recognize, give visibility and congratulate organizations with excellence in management, governance, financial sustainability and transparency.

The awards night not only celebrated the best NGOs, but also served as a powerful reminder that when we come together for worthy causes, we can achieve great transformations. The Copaíba Environmental Association is a notable example of this dedicated and inspiring spirit.
