Copaíba participates in the BTG Soma Environment program

Promoted by BTG Pactual and developed by Ago Social, the program provided six months of learning and recognized the importance of the Gift Trees initiative

With the With the aim of strengthening the management and institutional development of social organizations, BTG Pactual promoted for the 9th consecutive year the BTG Soma program, a social acceleration initiative that contributes to the formation of leaders, greater financial sustainability and expansion of the impact of previously selected impact organizations and businesses. In the 2024 edition, Copaiba Environmental Association was among the institutions contemplated, thanks to the project “Gift Trees”, which connects new audiences to ecological restoration.

Over the course of six months, Copaíba representatives Mônica Góes and Lígia Soares participated in immersions and mentoring sessions with BTG Pactual employees, as well as classes with renowned professionals from various areas, such as impact business management, communication, fundraising, management and financial sustainability. In addition, through weekly challenges, the Association was able to put into practice the content and tools learned, having been validated by experts in the topics covered.

According to Lígia Soares, Copaíba’s resource mobilizer, through BTG Soma, the Trees as Gifts project is gaining new dimensions and investment, making it easier for the general public to be involved in the Atlantic Forest restoration efforts promoted by Copaíba. “Giving gifts to those you love, with planted trees, is an initiative that inspires and creates bonds. At Copaíba, in addition to planting, we ensure that your sapling becomes a tree, we monitor its growth for two years and send all the news by email to participants,” she explains.
