Copaíba participates in Training for the Pact for the Restoration of the Atlantic Forest
In June, Copaíba, represented by its Executive Secretary, Flávia Balderi, participated in the Training on Gender Theme in the Projects and Strategies of the Pact for the Restoration of the Atlantic Forest, which took place in Antonina/PR.
With the objective of training the Pact's work group on gender, the event lasted three days with the participation of 23 people, representatives of the signatory entities and also of the Pact's Regional Units.
The program featured examples of work in gender groups in organizations that work with conservation. In addition, there was also the presentation of some experiences of institutions that are signatories of the Pact, which work or have projects on this theme. Copaíba can share with the other participants its experience of governance and management of the organization, taking into account gender equity.
“I understand that the proposal is to strengthen the Pact for the Restoration of the Atlantic Forest, even encouraging greater participation of women in this movement. There are many people working with excellence, in different places in different ways for the same objective. We have to know, value and multiply these fantastic actions for the restoration of the Atlantic Forest”, comments Flávia Balderi, Executive Secretary of Copaíba.
The course was supported by the PACT Diversity Working Group, in addition to partnerships with the Ministry of the Environment (MMA), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the German development bank KfW.
