The newest recognition of the work that has been carried out by Copaíba, in these 20 years, this time came through the first Rotaract Human Rights Relief Award. The event took place in early December, the 7th, at an event at the Ratary Club headquarters in Socorro. The award aimed to praise the work of people, groups or institutions that carry out social projects.

Guilherme Franco, vice president and director of human rights at the Club, brought the proposal of appreciation and recognition to the work of people in the city who are in favor of equity and peace, through the award. “Many people do a lot of social work for noble causes and most of the time we don't find out. In addition to giving visibility, the award is intended to encourage people to volunteer. If everyone did some small social action, the world would already be much better”.

Copaíba received the Maria do Socorro da Silva Trophy award in the Environment category. Another six awards were given in the categories: Sexual Diversity, Education, Feminism and Violence Against Women, Negritude, Health and Social Services. The event was also attended by authorities and companies of the municipality.
