In commemoration of the day of the Atlantic Forest, members of the RMA (Network of NGOs of the Atlantic Forest) meet in Assembly and elect a new coordination.

The Atlantic Forest NGO Network is a collective with a national agenda, and has achievements related to articulating interests with the Legislative, Executive and Judiciary Powers, formulating proposals to improve legislation, and developing important mechanisms for social participation.

RMA brings together more than 300 civil society organizations that work in defense of the biome. Its objective is the defense, preservation, conservation and recovery of the Atlantic Forest through the promotion of information exchange, mobilization, coordinated political action and mutual support among NGOs.

It was on the day of the Atlantic Forest, May 27, that the Network Assembly took place, for the inauguration of the new coordination, elected in 2017. The elected group will contribute to the management of the Network over the next two years and prepare for the new challenges it has ahead.

The general and institutional coordinators are João de Deus Medeiros and Adriano Wild.

Copaíba as an affiliate and member of the Coordination congratulates the entire group and joins efforts with the other defenders of the Atlantic Forest for this endeavor.

Long live the Atlantic Forest!!
