Copaíba supports forest restoration of properties in the region
There are countless forest restoration projects carried out and supported by Copaíba. These projects receive funding and sponsorship from different sources of funds that help the institution fulfill its mission of conserving and restoring the Atlantic Forest of the Peixe and Camanducaia river basins.
Verde Novo is one of those projects that help change the lives of many people. Companies in the region contribute financially to Copaíba and this resource is transformed into seedlings planted around several springs and watercourse banks. Many properties have already benefited from these actions, recovering more than 200 sources of the Peixe and Camanducaia rivers.
The support that Copaíba offers to properties for forest restoration is continuous. The areas are visited for the elaboration of the technical project and the owners receive the seedlings and all technical assistance for the planting. The visits are usually ended after a period of 2 years, in which the seedlings are already strong and do not require so much care in the field.
In recent weeks some properties were visited in the municipalities of Lindóia and Socorro/SP. On this visit, the owner accompanies the Copaíba technical team, showing the areas of interest to be restored. By common agreement, the areas are defined and measured so that they will soon receive the native Atlantic Forest seedlings. And in a short time a new forest will form.
Owners interested in recovering native forests on their property can benefit from Copaíba's support. Register your property on here.
