Copaíba participates in the 10th edition of Donating Day to promote generosity in conjunction with Environmental Education actions

The date celebrated on November 28th brings expectations of growth for the wave of donations to spread to more municipalities in the country.

Since 2013, Brazil has celebrated Donation Day and the 10th edition will take place on November 28th. The date aims to encourage the country to be more generous and supportive, and this year, the Associação Ambientalista Copaíba will participate in the campaign focused on Environmental Education, where it plans to raise resources to mobilize more students to participate in Experiences in Nature.
The Environmental Education campaign offers two participation options: by donating R$25 to the institution it is possible to receive a copy of the recently released book: Viva a Mata Atlântica!, or through spontaneous donations to the Geração Restauração Project. Find out more about how to participate:

Book: Long live the Atlantic Forest!
Recently launched by Editora Mol and Jungheinrich-Brasil, in partnership with Copaíba, the book brings together the main information about the Atlantic Forest, in the form of infographics, illustrations and short texts – all designed so that the content is attractive and easily absorbed by the public children and youth.
One of the most exciting ways to support the Environmental Education Program is through the donation of R$25, which exchanges for a copy of the book, specially written about the Atlantic Forest. In addition to benefiting from a reading full of engaging interactivity, donors will directly contribute to children and adolescents from the region's public schools participating in the Copaíba Environmental Education Program.

Books can be donated and picked up at two locations:
Costa Papelaria & Livraria: Av. Cel. Germano, 54 – Centro, Socorro – SP, which is open from Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 6pm.
Copaíba Environmental Association: Estrada Municipal da Pedra Branca, s/n – Pedra Branca, Socorro – SP, which is open from Monday to Friday, from 7am to 4pm.

Spontaneous Donations for Environmental Education
Another fundamental way to support the campaign is by making spontaneous donations to the Copaíba Geração Restauração Project. These donations will help sustain the project from start to finish, and will contribute to the formation of a Generation Restoring the Environment, especially the Atlantic Forest.
The project guarantees the preparation and production of all educational material, educational workshops with teachers, distribution of the book Viva a Mata Atlântica! for each of the students, a monitored visit to Copaíba, Experiences in the Forest, integrated work with classrooms and awareness of practical forest conservation actions. With donations, the Organization will be able to expand its reach and impact, educating and mobilizing more people in favor of environmental preservation.
All donations can be made directly to the Association's PIX, which has the key: [email protected], and the entire amount raised during this period will be recorded and presented at the end of the campaign.

“We hope that this date will encourage donations made by people, companies and organizations across the country, and that a wave of generosity will really occur and more children and young people can be impacted and have the possibility of having enriching and meaningful experiences with nature. Nature is everyone’s right.” – comments Tatiana Terasin, environmental education coordinator at Copaíba.
