The institution opens its doors so that families can get a close look at the work of producing native seedlings, ecological restoration, and enjoy an afternoon immersed in nature.
To the vacation The school year of July is usually a time when people search for activities that get children away from screens and promote family leisure time. With that in mind, the Copaiba Environmental Association announces the project “"Discover Copaiba on vacation"”, The institution will open its doors to families so they can learn about its activities. This institution has nearly 27 years of history in the production of native species seedlings and ecological restoration. The visits will be guided by the institution's environmental education team. Copaiba, always on Wednesdays, on July 8, 15, 22 and 29, with the scheduled start time at 1:30 pm.
The initiative is an invitation to slow down, breathe fresh air, and connect directly with the environmental cause in the vacation. During the experience, visitors will have the opportunity to hike a trail in the Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN), visit the nursery and the meliponary, and understand firsthand how the complex machinery of ecological restoration works, from seed collection to planting that transforms landscapes and creates new forests. “More than just a vacation outing, we want to offer an inspiring experience. THE Copaiba Environmental Association Copaíba is a non-profit Public Interest Civil Society Organization (OSCIP) based in the municipality of Socorro (SP), which has been working since 1999 with the mission of conserving and restoring the Atlantic Forest in the basins of the Peixe and Camanducaia rivers. Present in 19 municipalities in this region, Copaíba develops integrated actions in the areas of public policy, environmental education, production of native seedlings and ecological restoration, promoting the reconnection of people with nature and contributing to the protection of natural resources, especially water and biodiversity.
