Six years of partnership

To date, the partnership has resulted in the restoration of 25,128 hectares of land, with the planting of 60,719 native tree seedlings. These seedlings play a strategic role in protecting the water resources of the Camanducaia River basin, within the PCJ (Parque Nacional da Jundiaí) territorial area, which encompasses the hydrographic basins of the Piracicaba, Capivari, and Jundiaí rivers in the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais. In total, it was possible to preserve four springs and three streams in these areas, highlighting the direct impact of these actions on maintaining water quality and availability in the region.
This set of initiatives represents a consistent advance in the environmental restoration of the Atlantic Forest, promoting not only the recovery of ecosystems, but also the strengthening of biodiversity and the protection of essential ecosystem services.

Present in 19 municipalities in this region, Copaíba develops integrated actions in the areas of public policy, environmental education, production of native seedlings and ecological restoration, promoting the reconnection of people with nature and contributing to the protection of natural resources, especially water and biodiversity.
