During the period, the NGO planted 98,172 native seedlings in 108.86 hectares of degraded areas, directly involving 13 rural landowners in ecological restoration activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The actions were carried out as part of the Ra\u00edzes do Mogi Gua\u00e7u (Roots of Mogi Gua\u00e7u) program \u2014 an initiative by WWF Brazil and Sylvamo with the support of One Tree Planted \u2014 and Adote uma Floresta (Adopt a Forest), which have the support of national and international partners, such as the companies Jungheinrich Brasil, Grupo BEXP \u2013 Comercio de Ve\u00edculos LTDA (Porsche, Audi and Jeep) and Emporio Armani. The plantings took place in the municipalities of Bueno Brand\u00e3o (MG), Socorro, Serra Negra, Itapira, Monte Alegre do Sul and Amparo (SP) \u2014 areas considered a priority by the Association for the conservation of biodiversity and the protection of water resources in the Serra da Mantiqueira region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to restoration, Copa\u00edba&#039;s efforts resulted in the protection of 23 springs and the recovery of 10,669 linear meters of stream banks, strengthening local water security and ecosystem services fundamental to environmental balance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe season was challenging, but extremely productive. We worked on different fronts with the support of committed owners and partners who believe in restoration as a path to a more sustainable future,\u201d highlights the organization\u2019s technical team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The cycle also included the maintenance of areas restored in previous years, an essential action to ensure the healthy development of the forests that have been planted.
