With a circulation of ten thousand copies \u2013 which will be distributed free of charge to students and teachers from public schools who visit or carry out projects with the Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Ambientalista Copa\u00edba \u2013 the work has already secured a donation of R$ 40 thousand, which was destined for the NGO and whose resources will be used for the preservation and restoration of forests. The book is the result of a partnership between the company Jungheinrich Brasil, one of the global leaders in intralogistics, Editora MOL, the largest social impact publisher in the world and the NGO Copa\u00edba.<\/p>\n<p>The event was attended by more than 150 people and had as speakers and project presenters: Vigold Georg, vice-president of Jungheinrich for Latin America, Caroline Muccida, new business manager at Editora Mol and Tatiana Terasin, Education Coordinator Environmental of Copa\u00edba. Each of those present received a copy of the book at the end.<\/p>\n<p>With the aim of becoming a guide that brings together the main information about this Brazilian natural heritage, covering the biodiversity of plants and animals, as well as the importance of the forest for life and the threats faced, the book was written to inspire children and teenagers to join a generation of environmental restorers. \u201cEven before the launch, the work has already opened many paths for our Environmental Education Program, Gera\u00e7\u00e3o Restaura\u00e7\u00e3o, and the donation made by Jungheinrich had a great impact in starting new projects, in addition to expanding actions and services\u201d, explains Tatiana Terasin .<\/p>\n<p>The content included in the publication helps with the literacy of children and adolescents, as it uses an interactive language and is full of infographics, activities, illustrations, QR Codes and curiosities, which help to address topics such as deforestation and the importance of preserving the forest and the biodiversity of fauna and flora. \u201cThe idea is to share the reading with family and friends, making people aware of the importance of this topic, as the Atlantic Forest is on the list of 36 natural regions in the world that require urgent preservation and restoration\u201d, explains Lauro Carvalho, Head of Marketing and Latam Training from Jungheinrich Brasil.<\/p>\n<p>In order to train teachers to address the urgency of restoring the Atlantic Forest in the classroom, expanding environmental education actions, Copa\u00edba created the \u201cGera\u00e7\u00e3o Restaura\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d education program. To date, around 110 teachers have already been assisted and will reach at least 100 more professionals by the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the support of &#039;Viva a Mata Atl\u00e2ntica&#039;, educators plan classes and, as a complement, offer students visits to educational spaces in Copa\u00edba. During this experience, all children and teenagers receive a copy of the book.
