For the day of the tree, which is celebrated in September, the young people volunteered to plant seedlings of trees native to the Atlantic Forest.<\/p>\n<p>The planting of seedlings symbolizes the days left for the commemorative date.<\/p>\n<p>The Copa\u00edba Environmental Association collaborated with the action, guiding the young people on how to plant the seedlings. The seedlings were planted on Copa\u00edba&#039;s property, in an area destined for the institution&#039;s Forest Reserve. From now on, the care with seedlings will be part of the maintenance actions of the area that is practically a forest.<\/p>\n<p>The project conceived by the Interact Club of Socorro, \u201cPLANTANDO O VERDE\u201d aims to show the population how easy and feasible it is to plant some trees on their land.<\/p>\n<p>For Gabriel Marcon, 17 years old, President of Interact, comments that it is enough to reserve a few minutes and good will to plant trees in the homes. \u201cThe 30 trees were planted to represent 30 days before the day of the tree.
