The Copa\u00edba Forest Nursery provides seedlings of native trees on a monthly basis for this project.<\/p>\n<p>To date, Copa\u00edba alone has supplied more than 400,000 seedlings to Conservador das \u00c1guas, which has already planted more than 1,000,000 seedlings of native trees for the conservation of water sources in the municipality of Extrema. This region is very important as a supplier of water to the Cantareira System.<\/p>\n<p>For over 10 years, the Prefecture of Extrema has been supporting and financially remunerating rural landowners who restore and protect the surroundings of their springs.
