Getting to know the forest nursery, the native forest in formation and the Copa\u00edba Space \u2013 all of this is part of the experiences and environmental education activities that Copa\u00edba offers to students in the region.<\/p>\n
Verde Novo, a project carried out by Copa\u00edba, sponsored by Petrobras, through the Petrobras Socio-environmental Program gives full force to these actions and expects to serve more than 3,500 students in the next two years.<\/p>\n
Understanding nature for its conservation is the objective of the experiences, which are fun and, at the same time, full of learning. Students leave full of content to be multiplied. \u201cIn this sense, the educational dynamics are proposed as a way to involve the participants even more. They help to sharpen all the senses and, more than that, provide direct experiences with nature in search of enchantment and interaction with the environment\u201d, comments Fl\u00e1via Balderi, Coordinator of Verde Novo.<\/p>\n
Between one activity or another, the visit to the forest nursery provides knowledge of how seedlings of trees native to the Atlantic Forest are produced. And to complete this knowledge, students produce their own seedlings and take them to plant in their homes.<\/p>\n
In addition to seedlings, contact with seeds and trees is also guaranteed. The experiences contribute to Copa\u00edba achieving its mission in the conservation and restoration of the Atlantic Forest. It is through them that many children and young people are made aware of the importance of nature conservation.<\/p>\n
The exchange is rich and worth participating. For the year 2018, the schedule is now open.<\/p>\n
