The campaign's main objective is to consolidate the downward trend in environmental disasters observed in the last year.

Improved statistics

After a 2024 marked by alarming numbers of fires In Brazil, the year 2025 brought a positive sign. Fire monitoring data indicates a reduction of approximately 23% in the area burned in the country compared to the previous year, in addition to a significant drop in recorded hotspots. “This result didn't happen by chance. It is the result of prevention actions, awareness campaigns, monitoring, and mobilization of different sectors of society,” said Ana Paula Balderi, coordinator of Ecological Restoration at Copaíba.

But the warning remains, because even with the reduction, fire still destroys thousands of hectares every year, and a large part of these fires could be avoided.
